Tips for Choosing the Right Insurance Partner Workshop in Indonesia


The work of insurance partner workshops sometimes do not satisfy consumers . It is because the spare parts are not original or work is not maximal. Here are tips on how to select the right insurance partner workshop.

In accordance with the new regulation of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the circular letter of OJK No: SE-06 / D.05 / 2013, the use of authorized workshops is only an additional facility provided by the insurance company.

Surely it is with the terms and conditions applicable in each insurance company. 

The quality of official workshop work is reliable. Similarly, the spare parts on offer are also guaranteed authenticity.

But to get an authorized workshop facility the policyholder must pay an additional premium. The amount can be different in each insurance company. 

Then what if the policyholder does not want to pay an additional premium for the official workshop facility, meaning that the policyholder only get a public service offer that became a partner of the insurance company. 

The latest rule of The Financial Services Authority which use of authorized workshop as an additional facility provided by the insurer with the specified (term & condition) considerations.

That is, certain policies that can use authorized workshops, where in the insurance policy there will be additional clauses regarding the use of authorized workshops.

In some cases, however, the work of the insurance partner's general workshop is less satisfactory to the car owner. Can be because the use of spare parts is not original, to the quality of bad results.

For example, the quality of the paint is not uniform with other body panels, or the installation of components that are less tidy. 

For the process of reparation poor quality of work, consumers can file a complaint to the insurer or to the workshop. Some insurance companies claim that every workshop partner both official and public workshops will be responsible for every job. And will serve complaints if consumers are not satisfied with the work of the workshop. 

Let us give you example of Allianz Insurance has 44 authorized workshop shops, 178 common workshop partners, and 6 partner workshops.

Each workshop partner of Allianz shall be responsible for the work done and completion of the complaint submitted by the insured to completion, as long as the proposed complaint is relevant to the work of the partner's workshop. In addition, spare parts in all of Allianz's partner workshops are required to be original.

To file a complaint, Allianz Insurance has a management complaint team to serve customers who are not satisfied with the work of the workshop. Obviously with evidence such as a vehicle photograph of the work of the workshop.

Furthermore, the management complaint team will confirm with the partner workshop regarding the complaint report.

If indeed the result is a mistake or negligence from the workshop, then the workshop is required to do re-work on the vehicle until the proposed complaint is resolved.
